The Amsterdam Museum tells stories about our capital city, covering the past, present and future. Owing to the multi-year restoration and refurbishment of its home in the Burgerweeshuis, the museum has been temporarily relocated to the Amsterdam Museum wing of the Hermitage Amsterdam on the Amstel, where you will learn all about the city in a completely new collection. Here, you will discover Amsterdam in all its dimensions and from a variety of perspectives: tradition, pomp and splendour, but also alternative voices and lesser-known and more recent histories of the city.
