The Nieuwe Kerk, located next to the Royal Palace on Dam Square, is the face of Amsterdam. It has been known for decades for its high-profile exhibitions of art and photography about inspiring people, cultures and religions. This church was used for the wedding of Willem-Alexander and Máxima and it is the site of Michiel de Ruyter's grave. Every year this church hosts major exhibitions on treasures from other countries, cultures and religions.
