Doorwerth Castle is a medieval moated fortress with an inner courtyard and a large outer bailey. Its long history is one of habitation, destruction, decline and restoration. Inside the thick castle walls, beautifully furnished rooms show how people once lived here. Take a walk around the castle grounds and visit the kitchen garden. A longer walk takes you to the varied Duno estate featuring forests, hills and wet meadows.
